Biography
David Karluk has over 30 years of experience in various financial leadership positions in several types of providers in both for-profit and not-for-profit sectors including the acute, mental health, and long term care areas. He is currently the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, Virginia. In this role, he oversees the areas of budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, cost accounting, productivity, reimbursement, and cost reporting for all companies within the health system.
He holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration / Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University, and an M.B.A. in Health Care Management with Graduate Honors from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. He is a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and received an award for achieving the highest scorer in the nation on the HFMA Certification Examination in 2005. He is currently the President of the Virginia/DC Chapter of HFMA.
